Iowa Motorcycle Accident Fatality

March 22, 2007 - The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an early morning motorcycle fatality. The accident occurred at the intersection of Hubbell and Broadway (NE 46th Ave.) at approximately 5:20 a.m., March 22, 2007.

The accident involved a motorcycle which was struck by a pickup truck towing a trailer. Preliminary investigation of this accident indicated the motorcycle was stopped at the lights facing southwest on Hubbell Ave. at Broadway. The truck pulling a trailer was also heading southwest on Hubbell Ave. but did not stop at the intersection striking the motorcycle with the front passenger side of the truck. At this time charges are pending the completion of the investigation by a Sheriff’s Office Technical Accident Investigator.

Life Flight was called to the scene as well as a second rescue unit for the driver of the pickup. The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene and has been identified as Jermiah Dosser age 24 from Osage, Iowa.

The driver of the pickup has been identified as Richard Fuller, age 48 from Des Moines. Fuller was transported by Altoona Rescue to Mercy. The extent of his injuries is not known but is not believed to be serious.
